A “village heater” for wattendorf?

Due to rising energy costs and the efforts of the municipality of wattendorf and the citizens to use the potential of renewable energy in the region in the context of climate protection, a concept for a decentralized heating energy supply ("village heating") is to be developed.

The first step in this direction was taken by the town council under the leadership of mayor rudolf krapp (CSU), who awarded the contract for a feasibility study to a bureau from rodental. The smallest municipality in the county is spending 8,000 euros on the project to assess its economic viability. Five out of the six offices contacted had submitted bids. The question of the demand – rates of 50 to 70 percent are being discussed – is to be clarified in the next few days, while the matter remains on mayor krapp's desk in the steinfeld town hall.

The main purpose of the study is to find out how many buildings are connected to the network can become and which are meaningful. "Once the pipe is ready, the warm one can immediately love it. For this, only a heat exchanger had to be realized in a transfer station (for this there is a fixed amount requirement). The requirement for the heating pipe depends on its length; a pipe about one kilometer long was needed.
